I actually asked something similar the other day and I had little to no results so I'm going to re ask my question differently and be more specific.
I'm really inspired my vintage illustration and I want to achieve the looks that I post below.
So what type of paint is used and how would I achieve the vintage look that's going on in the pics?I want the work I'm doing to look vintage.Now I actually prefer to paint this myself by hand but, if I get impatient can this be done using photoshop?
(Sorry for my ignorance I don't know much about paint or photoshop I just draw with ink or pencil)
Watercolors, or more specifically Gouache for the first two. Those old vintage ads were primarily gouache paintings, and heavily dependent on an underdrawing.
The last one could be digitally painted, although poorly.
Just a word to the wise, because you said you don't have a lot of experience with paint of photoshop: Don't expect immediate results. Painting is fucking hard, so dont go for a definitive style before you master your materials and your technique.
