I'm Buddhist and I really respect buddha. a few days ago I went to thailand and I received the buddha relics from the monk in thailand. I used to believe he was aryan and the monks in thailand said so....and according to tripitaka stated about the appearance of "Maha Burut" or "great man" he appeared to have characteristics of the caucasian people. or example, curl hair, tall, long chin, high nasal and large eyes etc.....but I curious, the british museum showed the picture of buddha there and stated that it is the original portrait of him. the picture appeared like the oriental guy with slanted eyes. I don't know why a lot of western archaeologists try to put many famous people in the history to look like the non-white people. for example jesus is black, cleopatra is black and buddha looks like korean etc...?....I believe buddha was aryan. his name, his mother's name, father's name are in sanskrit language which is indo-european language.
