For the competition, I chose two events: the Pentathlon & the Project Fair, in which my project falls under the "Model" category.
In the model category, you must build a perfectly functional model of anything in the classical time periods. for example, if you want to make a Trojan Horse, it MUST have functional trap doors, be able to move, etc.
However, I would like to make something OTHER than a Trojan Horse. I was planning on modeling the statue of Colussus, but it would fall under the category "Pottery & Sculpture", which would disqualify me..
Any suggestions as to what other things may be easy to make?
It would also be nice if there was some sort of idea to what materials I can use for it..

My immediate reaction was to think of the devices used in Classical times - like a water clock, catapult or even a zeotrope (an early animation device) but I would have no idea how to build one of these so this is probably of little use to you
