McCain consistently votes against benefits for veterans, he says he has a "better plan", but none of these "better plans" have been submitted for perusal. Where are these bills? The following are a list of issues that McCain has taken to heart:

S. 2172: Saffron Revolution Support Act of 2007
S. 32: Defense Acquisition Reform Act of 2007
S. 1255: Indian Arts and Crafts Amendments Act of 2007
S. 952: A bill to amend the Morris K. Udall Scholarship and Excellence in National Environmental and Native American Public Policy Act of 1992 to provide funds for training in tribal leadership, management, and policy, and for other purposes.
Nothing about veteran benefits. In fact, McCain has missed 17% of all his votes since 1993, almost all of that 17% happened in the last 4 years. Where is McCain?
No Republican nowhere and at no time EVER voted to help Veterans. Gen. Eisenhower didn't like the idea of paying the soldiers in WW2 and he didn't like the idea of the GI Bill of rights either.
The Republican idea is to allow the wounded veterans to panhandle on street corners. That's care for them....
