I've had a 12 Hole #364 Marine Band Diatonic Harmonica in the Key of C for about 2 years (Wood Reed - Antique style construction. This harmonica has been superb and today I had the idea to run some running water though it, only held it in the water flow for about 2 seconds (just enough for water to flow through it) and now about 2 hours later, I'm having trouble.
Now the 6th Reed Blow Note (G) won't sound with a regular blow, only with lesser blow (which sounds very quiet when you apply the same amount of blow to the other reed. The puzzling thing is that when I draw on the 6th Reed Draw Note (A) it sounds out fine just like it should.
Let it dry thoroughly or whack it in your hand a few times. The water is still in the chamber and when you blow, it comes out and the sound isn't right.
