I came across this item at a flea market and found it very interesting, but I can't seem to find any information about it anywhere. The person I bought it from didn't know what it was either, but I bought it out of pure curiosity.
It seems to be chinese. The decorative case contains 2 ceramic or porcelain tumblers (or vases) about 5 inches tall - both different, but decorated with blue ink. The case also includes 8 ceramic/porcelain egg-shaped pieces and 8 small metal pieces that feature 5 small circles (one in the middle and 4 at each of the directions - north, south,east,west - almost like a cross made of circles).
