I am going to china at the end of the month with my high school and i have made a list of souvenirs i want to buy, but i need to figure out how much money to bring. i need to know what the price is for chopsticks, tiny jade statues, tea's, jade necklace, chinese fans. We will be shopping in Stanley, Hong Kong, and shop the Hong Kong skyline. We will also go to Tianamen Square, The great wall, ming tombs, forbidden city, the olympic village and the summer palace.
fans - are generally pretty cheap, less than 10 HKD, but if you're getting fancy souvenir ones in Stanley and other tourist spots then they'll probably be $40-100
tea - if you can't tell the difference between good tea and not-so-good tea, then don't waste money to buy tea from expensive teahouses, unless you want to get teas that come in fancy packages/shapes
jade - really depends on what kind of jade you're looking for. price range is pretty large, just like other jewelry
