Displaying my metal wall art?
my wife and I bought a nice piece of metal wall art, but when we got it home we noticed that there wasn't much contrast between the piece and the wall (the wall is a light tan and the piece is antiqued cream.) We are considering painting the wall directly behind it in a checkerboard patern of a contrasting color. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas for putting contrast behind a piece of wall art?
Dusty, if you're considering a checker board paint pattern, I off er these thoughts:
1. I hope it's in the kitchen
2. A solid color in any other room will make the art piece a focal point. A patterned background will not give the art piece the attention it deserves.
